Victoria Adams
Victoria Adams infamous ? But did you know her family were already well known in London's East End...and maybe, not for what you think! There were a few east end London families , known for the terror and havoc they created . These were , the Chamberlains , Richardsons,Hardwicks, Adams. You notice I didn't say Krays , because strictly speaking they were just brothers and not a whole family of hard cases. As you can guess , yes the families were renowned for the usual fun and games as went on for generations. I should say this has nothing to do with her and her current family , but these are the grandfathers and before them even . The vast majority of these families went as far as to change their names and move , mostly to the Essex and Herfordshire borders , where they were relatively unknown, especially to the police . They have names such as Hardingham, Curtis, Batchelor, to name a few. Yes I have met the offspring. No I didn't meet her. I did share a house with her cousin ( father was a rival family), and another cousin (a different rival family). These families were sort of inter-related as was the custom to keep the piece within a war area . I have heard a great many stories, and have indeed met the fathers . Though , safe to say , not always a pleasure , and though I am a rather big fellow , the blank stares do little to hide their upbringing , and you would be foolish not to mind your manners. Though I do carry a business card of the the two fathers that run a scrap metal business . It came in handy once , when a rather snotty young man,was boasting about who he knew, and how he was tight with them because he was dating one of the nieces. Showing him the card , and phoning them ( and reminding them how I got their card, until they remembered how they knew me), in front of the young man, he soon realised I did actually know these guys , somewhat loosely, but enough to ask if they did actually know him! I never saw him again after that! I have also met the throwbacks , who themselves , are having a good go at keeping " the old ways " alive. Have I said too much?Is this not true? These are the stories told to me by her relatives.Hearsay,maybe.Coincidence? http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4158/is_19970610/ai_n14102277 http://www.virginmedia.com/homefamily/genealogy/victoriabeckham.php
